NWSC RACING
About
The NWSC have a long history of competitive ski racing in particular, including several past British Team members, and an increasing number of newer Welsh Squad Members. It takes years of dedication and quality training to aid competitors to reach their peak, and the NWSC looks to providing a solid platform for prospective and full time racers to always find reliable and consistent coaching and training.
We have always worked hard to encourage and develope young talent in years gone by, and for the majority of that time we were based at a very small dryslope onsite at the Plas y Brenin centre in Capel Curig. Unfortunately, that facility had to close, and we have since re-established ourselves at the Llandudno slope (as of January 2020), and run regular training sessions every Wednesday (Flyers Race Training), which is our more intensive training session. But we also have exclusive use of the slope for our Sundays Skills session from 4 until 6pm for a more relaxed training session. We have now added our Young Flyers training sessions on Wednesdays from 5.30 until 6.45pm (see the link below for more information).
We also organise and host various competitive and fun events, including a Winter Taster Race series, once a month from Nov - April, open to all-comers, A Club National event (open to all National Racers), and our prestigious Club Championships, usually in the late Autumn on the run up to Christmas.
We also organise day camps when possible, and plan to run some multi day camps and trips to the alps in the not-too-distant future.
Booking links and details for our regular training sessions are below.
